Matt sol-silicate facade paint according to DIN 18363, for exterior and interior use. High opacity, highly diffusible. Sol-silicate offers outstanding application properties and high durability. Suitable for mineral substrates and for reworking of old, matt and sustainable dispersions as well as old sili-cone-resin based paints. Weatherproof. Without the addition of preservatives.
On request product in 12.5 l can be supplied with algicide / fungicide effect.
Colour Resistance according to BFS Data Sheet No. 26: B / group 1 – 3 (depending on colour)
For exterior and interior use on good, solid new and old undergrounds such as lime, lime-cement and cement plasters, concrete, fibre cement as well as old silicate and mineral paints. Do not use on dispersion paints or silicone resin paints.
Silicate with organic stabilizer and silica sol
Content of Solids:
Approx. 60 %
Alkaline approx. 11
Steam diffusion acc. to DIN EN 52615:
SD = 0,01 m
Class V1 (high)
Water absorption coefficient acc. to DIN EN 1062:
W24: < 0,1 kg/m² • h1/2
Class W3 (low)
Deviations of technical data as a result of tinting are possible.
Brush / roller / spray (airless). Do not apply on sun heated substrates, during strong winds, at high temperatures, extremely high humidity, in fog or rain. Consider the risk of night frost. If necessary, protect the façade with suitable scaffolding-nets or tarpaulins.
All weak and homogeneous absorbing, matt old coatings and undergrounds, which are solid, dry and clean.
Highly and non-homogeneous absorbing mineral undergrounds: consolidate with JONAS Silikat-Grundfestiger. Wait 4 weeks before using on new renders. Fluote and rinse with water. Old mineral and silicate paints must be cleaned and removed if necessary. If necessary, use JONAS Silikat-Grundfestiger to consolidate the underground.
For underground treatment and application VOB, part C, DIN 18363 and the relavant BFS information must be observed.
If necessary, use silicate primer first (JONAS Silikat-Grundfestiger). Priming coat: use JONAS Sol-Silikat-Fassadenfarbe diluted with max. 10 % of JONAS Silikat-Grundfestiger. Final coating with JONAS Sol-Silikat-Fassadenfarbe diluted with max. 5 % JONAS Silikat-Grundfestiger.
Spreading rate per coating:
Approx. 200 ml/m² on smooth underground (if necessary test on the wall).
At least + 5°C (Degrees Celsius) for air and underground during application and drying.
The surface of the coating is dry and can be painted over after 8 - 10 hours (at a temperature of 20 °C and a relative atmospheric humidity of 65 %). High humidity, low temperatures and low air exchange extend the hardening and drying time.
In case of adverse weather conditions always take appropriate actions (e.g. rain protection) to protect work areas and freshly painted surfaces.
Product can be tinted with suitable standard tinting paint. Check compatibility on a case by case basis. Use tinted product immediately after mixing. Advice: Due to the chemical setting process we cannot accept any liability for colour accuracy and spotless drying. Tinting may lead to deviations in the technical data, also with respect to contents of preservatives.
Colour stability: weather, humidity, UV-light and accumulations may have an influence on the coating surface. The process of change is dynamic and depends on climate and exposition conditions. The current national regulations, leaflets etc. apply.
Colour accuracy: weather conditions and property conditions have an influence on colour accuracy and the uniformity of colour. The following conditions should be avoided:
a. Irregularly sucking substrate
b. Different surface humidity in the substrate
c. Patches with different alkalinity and / or ingredients from the substrate
d. Direct sunlight with sharp shadows on the still humid coating
Washout of additives: For coatings which are not yet fully dried any water impact, i.e. dew, fog or rain, may washout additives from the coating which then build-up on the surface. The extent of this effect differs, depending on the intensity of the colour. This has no influence on the quality of the product. The effect will disappear under normal weather conditions.
Product can be tinted about the mixing machine; colour tone stability B, group 1-3 (according to colour tone) according to BFS information No. 26.
Cleaning of tools:
Clean with water immediately after use.
Cool, but not freezing.
Can be stored for at least 12 months after date of filling (see additional sticker) if stored properly in the unopened original packaging.

Advice for use and safety:
JONAS Sol-Silikat-Fassadenfarbe with algicide / fungicide effect provides film protection against algae and fungi and therefore should be used outside only. The film protecting properties of the product help to minimize / delay the risk for fungi or algae. For paints with film protecting properties it is essential to apply at least two layers of paint. Nevertheless, a permanent protection against fungi and algae cannot be guaranteed (also refer to BFS information no. 9, article 6.1, last section).
