Application characteristics

Application:
Roller / spray, structure with texture roller or perforated texture roller (Moltopren). Do not apply on sun heated substrates, during strong winds, at high temperatures, extremely high humidity, in fog or rain. Consider the risk of night frost. If necessary, protect the façade with suitable scaffolding-nets or tarpaulins.

Underground:
Needs to be clean, dry, and solid. Otherwise use JONAS Hydro-Haft- & Tiefgrund first to consolidate the underground. For underground treatment and application VOB, part C, DIN 18363 and the relevant BFS information must be observed.

Coating build-up: 
Priming coat: dilute product with max. 20% water. Final coating: dilute product with 5 % water.

Spreading rate per coating:
Priming coat: approx. 800 g/m². 
Final coat: approx. 1000 g/m² (if necessary test on the wall).
For a renovating coat: approx. 700 g/m²

Application temperature:
At least + 5°C (Degrees Celsius) for air and underground during application and drying.

Drying:
The surface of the coating is dry and can be painted over after 8 - 10 hours (at a temperature of 20 °C and a relative atmospheric humidity of 65 %). High humidity, low temperatures and low air exchange extend the hardening and drying time.
In case of adverse weather conditions always take appropriate actions (e.g. rain protection) to protect work areas and freshly painted surfaces.

Tinting:
Product can be tinted with JONAS Allcolor Vollton- und Abtönfarben. Tinting may lead to deviations in the technical data, also with respect to contents of preservatives.

Colour stability: weather, humidity, UV-light and accumulations may have an influence on the coating surface. The process of change is dynamic and depends on climate and exposition conditions. The current national regulations, leaflets etc. apply.

Colour accuracy: weather conditions and property conditions have an influence on colour accuracy and the uniformity of colour. The following conditions should be avoided:
a. Irregularly sucking substrate
b. Different surface humidity in the substrate
c. Patches with different alkalinity and / or ingredients from the substrate
d. Direct sunlight with sharp shadows on the still humid coating

Washout of additives: For coatings which are not yet fully dried any water impact, i.e. dew, fog or rain, may washout additives from the coating which then build-up on the surface. The extent of this effect differs, depending on the intensity of the colour. This has no influence on the quality of the product. The effect will disappear under normal weather conditions.

Cleaning of tools: 
Clean with water immediately after use.

Waste disposal:
Empty containers can be disposed for recycling. Any dried residues of material can be disposed of as construction waste or together with domestic garbage. Containers with liquid material residues must be disposed of according to local regulations. For further information, please contact your local waste authority.

Advice for use and safety acc. to CLP: 
Porenbetonbeschichtung with algicide / fungicide effect provides film protection against algae and fungi and therefore should be used outside only. The film protecting properties of the product help to minimize / delay the risk for fungi or algae. For paints with film protecting properties it is essential to apply at least two layers of paint. Nevertheless, a permanent protection against fungi and algae cannot be guaranteed (also refer to BFS information no. 9, article 6.1, last section). 
May produce an allergic reaction. Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects. If medical advice is needed, have product container or label at hand. Keep out of reach of children. Read carefully and follow all instructions. When spraying, use combination filter A2 / P2. Avoid release to the environment. Wear protective gloves and eye/face protection. IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of soap and water. Take off contaminated clothing and wash it before reuse. Dispose of contents / container in accordance with local regulations. Warning! Hazardous respirable droplets may be formed when sprayed. Do not breathe spray or mist. Safety data sheet available on request. Contains: 2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one, 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one, 2-octyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one, Mixture of 5-chloro-2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one and 2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one (3:1), 4,5-dichloro-2-octyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one.
Do not allow to enter into surface water or drains or soil. Water from cleaning leaning work equipment must not get into the ground or surface water. Use product safely. Read product and safety information before use. This material contains an encapsulated additive protecting against algae and fungi. Active substances: 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one, 2-octyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one, 2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one, 3-iodo-2-propinyl butylcarbamate, 4,5-dichloro-2-octyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one, Terbutryn.
